This Spring has brought the buzz in more ways than one. From shipping disasters to shifting trade rules, we’ve faced a wild wave of challenges—but we’ve also made some beautiful moves forward.

1. A Box-Sized Setback
We lost two of our biggest boxes in shipping (yep, they were really full ones 😭), which wiped out a third of our Spring inventory. It was a gut punch—but we kept going.
2. Tariffs Got Tricky
New U.S. tariffs hit hard—especially for products using fabric from China, even if it's made with 100% recycled materials and sewn elsewhere. That meant our Mexico-made gear was getting taxed like it was fully China-made. Not fun.
3. Our India Pivot
So, we shifted our production to India, where both the fabric and sewing happen in one place—giving us a clear “Made in India” label and a much faster turnaround.The new collection is in motion, and we're doing everything we can to make sure the fit is flawless, the fabrics stay breathable, and the bugs stay far, far away.
4. Meet Our New Name: ShrugBug™
We’re still the same mission-driven team—focused on protection, comfort, and style—but we’ve got a fresh name that better reflects who we are and how we roll: Shrug off the bugs. Keep living your life.

Here are some areas people frequently forget to check:In and Behind the EarsTicks love warm, moist environments, and the area behind your ears (and even inside your ears) is a perfect hiding spot. They can be especially tricky to spot here if you have long hair.Scalp and HairlineIf you’ve spent time in tick-prone areas, make sure to part your hair and check your scalp. Ticks can crawl up into the hairline and stay undetected for days.UnderarmsThese shadowy, often-overlooked areas are favorites for ticks. Be sure to lift your arms and thoroughly inspect under them.Behind KneesTicks are experts at finding spots where clothing fits snugly or skin folds occur. Check yourself in a bright area or use a flashlight to illuminate any shadows.Grab an Extendable Adjustable MirrorThese mirrors make it easier to inspect your own back, behind your ears, and other hard-to-see areas without relying on someone else.
Use a Magnifying GlassTiny nymph ticks can be really hard to see and are experts at blending in with moles and freckles. A good magnifying glass can really come in handy for telling the difference.
Buddy UpAsk a family member or friend to check areas that are difficult for you to see, like your scalp or back.Shower Soon AfterShowering within two hours of being outdoors can help wash away any unattached ticks and give you a chance to do a thorough check.Wear Light-Colored ClothingBefore you head outdoors, wear light-colored clothing, like the Mozzie Style's white mosquito net jackets and pants, to make spotting ticks easier.
