I was originally going to order only the Mozzie Style Mosquito Net Jacket, but, at the last second, I added the Twist and Fold Hat to my order. I'm so glad I did! This is truly a game-changer for me. We live in a wooded area near a river, and summer bugs are horrible. This hat allows me to walk the dog without mosquitos biting my neck and gnats flying up my nose. It also saves me from spider webs in the face! I used to hate being out in the woods in summer, but not anymore. I will never be without one of these hats again.

This summer I'm a landscaper working on restoring native habitat in a small patch of suburban woods. Bugs in your face...what can I say? I was dreaming up a hat like this! Initially I had a problem with the wire ring falling into my field of view every time I bent over, but figured out if I cinched the netting closer around my neck, it holds the ring in place. The mesh takes a TINY bit of getting used to seeing through, but once I learned to "tune it out" I didn't have a problem with visibility even the small things. Bug repellent on your face only sweats off and gets in your eyes. I still sweat, and this hat does not have a sweat band, but I use a head band or bandana, which also keeps the hat in place without needing to cinch or tie the hat strap! And the price is right!
